MYA 2019 Annual Summer Picnic

MYA had it’s annual summer family picnic again this year on July 6th, 2019 at the Coon Rapids Dam, MN. This picnic was to invite the Muslim community members to celebrate the end of Ramadan and to welcome the summer season.

The day started off amazingly Alhamdulillah. The kids were able to try different activities while they were at this beautiful location. They were able to eat some good barbecue, play games like; water gun fights, water balloon fights, soccer and volleyball tournaments (we had a winner).

Every year the location for the picnic changes and this year was no different. The Coon Rapids Dam was a beautiful location. It had a gorgeous view of the dam and a beautiful trail for walking and bicycling.

Throughout the whole day, some of MYA executive members went around and asked questions about how the picnic was going. And some of their responses ranged from “the food is good” ‘the location is great” to'' I can't wait for next year”. This is what we at MYA strive for; believing that we can make a difference in the community and developing our community for the next generation.

We hope everyone had a great time at the picnic and we especially pray you will join us in celebrating again in all our other events as the year goes by.
